Currently enrolled degree-seeking student at the University of West Florida or a non-enrolled applicant seeking part time clerical support work

Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be well versed with the functioning of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite, Gmail, Zoom and other technology-based office support systems. Must be able to use phone, calculator, copier, printer, and scanner. Must possess good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Expected to be self-motivated and able to work on your own and as a team member. Must have good organizational skills.

Description:
The UWF Center for Cybersecurity is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dependable individual to join our growing team. In this position, you will report to and assist the Principal Investigator and Program Evaluator for the ONR Research grant.

Work performs secretarial and/or administrative duties for a grant funded program. Prepares a variety of materials including correspondence, reports, manuscripts, and forms, some of which may be confidential. Maintains scheduling and event calendars. Greets visitors and callers, handles their inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate person(s) according to their needs. May initiate requisitions, change orders, travel requests, and similar forms and may perform bookkeeping functions. May arrange conferences/workshops, meetings, and travel reservations for program employees and participants. May assist in maintaining administrative records for the program and in facilitating the operation of the program. May assist in developing and monitoring annual operating budget for the program. Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports. Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail and other materials, and prepares answers to routine inquiries. Mails newsletters, promotional materials, and other information.

Work Requirements:
10 hours per week, at $10.00 per hour. This position is in a hybrid work environment including remote access and on-site visits to the UWF Center for Cybersecurity (downtown Pensacola) as needed.  This is a grant funded position that does not carry any fringe benefit and the work duration is limited to the period: January 18, 2021- October 18, 2021.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Prepare online and/or paper-based surveys for program evaluation
  • Perform clerical work for the Principal Investigator and the Program Evaluator
  • Help in the recruitment and processing of participants for the professional development courses
  • Create advertising flyers and other marketing materials
